About Us

Anchor Resources is a mineral explorer with a diversified portfolio of highly prospective projects located throughout New South Wales and Queensland. This portfolio provides exposure to a broad range of commodities including gold, antimony, copper, and uranium, as well as other base metals. Exploration has been in progress since 2005 and an antimony resource with possible gold and tungsten credits has already been outlined at our 100% owned Bielsdown project. The value of this resource is enhanced by the strength of the global antimony price over past years (see graph on Bielsdown Project page).

Anchor Resources is Sydney based and its experienced management team has considerable expertise and global experience in exploration, mining, finance and stockbroking. Its strategy is to identify mineral properties of high potential in which specific prospects can be quickly advanced in a cost effective manner. This includes attracting joint venturers to introduce specialist technical expertise and share risk.

Company Update - following the listing of Anchor Resources on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in July 2007, exploration activities have accelerated with:

  • resource expansion drilling at the Wild Cattle Creek antimony project during 2009;
  • RC drilling at the Windella prospect (copper-gold) near Nyngan, Dec 2008;
  • discovery of gold and copper by RC drilling at Clayholes Dam - Greenvale East project late May 2008;
  • RC drilling at the Blicks project (gold and copper) in mid 2008;
  • drill target definition on gold, tin and tungsten prospects at the Greenvale East project;
  • grant of two new ELs (Thunderbolts/Munga) near Hillgrove, with excellent antimony potential;
  • drill target definition at the Chillagoe uranium project in northern Queensland;
  • completion of an airborne geophysics survey at the Birdwood copper-gold-molybdenum project;
